Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate: Is the story good?

Well before I go on let me just give you all a slight heads up! Some spoilers will be given away! So if you haven't gotten far in the story you might want to go read another one of our articles! Now personally I believe the story is amazing! Yes that's right I am one of those that feels more drawn in to the game than in MH3U which just had me kind of going through the motions in terms of story! It was kind of bland if you think about it! Sure they both have similarities what with their being a natural disaster but the story in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is more...dark? It focuses around a virus that makes monsters go into a frenzy and making them be overly aggressive not to mention killing them. Survival of the fittest right? Well no some monsters, like the Gore Magala, have harnessed the power of the frenzy and can efficiently mess you up with it! Other monsters are able to do this making them even more frightful opponents! Also the cut scenes are so nice this time around! And their isn't some half naked old guy to greet you! That's a bonus anyway you look at it!

Another thing is that the monsters we have previously fought against are now getting beaten up by either Gore Magala or Seregios(STEVE)! This adds a more intimidating presence to these already scary looking monsters! The story also does a good job of actually making you feel like you are progressing! You go from having a lowly caravan to having a ship and finally an air ship! All is done by the monsters you hunt either because the craftsman need the material from them or because the monster is blocking a resource they need! You also upgrade your Wyporium and kitchen(fancy barbecue spit <3) through the quests each NPC gives! If you actually read the quest text it actually makes sense!

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate does a good job of making you feel like part of the world rather than just a hunter hunting monsters and wearing their body parts! But that's just me...what do you all think about the story? What was your favorite part? Happy hunting! :)
